Single Origin Notes

This delicious lemony single origin coffee is sourced from Suke Quto in the lush highlands and valleys of Ethiopia’s Guji zone. The volcanic soil is loamy and rich in nutrients, ideal for cultivating exceptional coffee. The land features a variety of shade trees that offer coverage from the sun and leaf litter that naturally fertilizes the coffee trees below.

Farmer Tesfaye Bekele, the founder of Suke Quto farm and a pioneer in Guji coffee, started the farm after a series of bushel fires destroyed the land. Today, not only does he grow and process his own coffee but works together with over 100 growers in the region. These farmers deliver cherries to Tesfaye’s washing station where they are processed and dried. Many farms in the Guji zone are now based off Tesfaye’s groundbreaking farm and its organic farming techniques.

Bought this and it quickly became my favorite coffee. Just perfect. The only way it could be better was if it came in decaf too, since I need to watch my caffeine intake.
